JENA ANTONUCCI
Jena Antonucci is a thoroughbred trainer based in Ocala, Florida. On June 10, 2023, Jena won the Belmont Stakes with Arcangelo, becoming the first female trainer to win the Belmont or any Triple Crown race.
Jena began her career in the horse business focused on hunters, jumpers and equitation, but shifted her interest as a result of spending time retraining green retired thoroughbreds. She worked under the D. Wayne Lucas breaking and training program at Padua Stables and later as an equine veterinary assistant for several years. Jena opened Bella Inizio Farm in 2010, initially focusing on reproductive work, young horses, and rehabilitating racehorses. In 2022, Jena and Katie Miranda formed horseOlogy, a full cycle thoroughbred training and ownership organization involved in all aspects of thoroughbred breeding, training, and racing. From her first win on March 7, 2010, at Tampa Bay Downs, through her Belmont win on June 10, 2023, Jena is one of the most sought-after trainers in the business.
“Our horses have appreciated adding MEGA-FLX +HA to our program. We have noticed improved recovery after big efforts in either racing or workouts. Using a product that is benefiting our horses in a muscular and skeletal perspective was an easy decision with MEGA-FLX +HA.”
